Unfortunately my dark circles are hereditary, so Penny will always be a slave to concealer. But if there is something that will help even a little (other than the obvious 'get more sleep & drink more water' solution), Penny would be truly grateful.
Recently I was told to try Garnier Eye Roll-On; this is a caffeine formula with Pro-B vitamins that is supposed to help reduce puffiness, diminish the appearance of circles; there were mixed reviews on this product ($12-$15). (Read full story)
Next I was told to try Origins 'No Puffery'; this cooling under eye mask is also supposed to be good at reducing under eye bags in the morning. Using yeast and mushroom extracts this is also supposed to help reduce dark circles($21). The instructions recommend that you leave this on for 5-10 minutes and tissue off, so this may be more time consuming than Penny needs it to be. However, you can also leave it on.
Then Penny stumbled upon another new product, Origins GinZing. This one has caught Penny's attention as it includes caffeine, ginseng, and magnolia extract, and is also supposed to reduce puffiness and diminish dark circles...this prooduct is 'sold out' on the Origins website, and received good reviews($29.50).
Let me know what you think might work.
Be blessed. Be Beautiful.
This works! Since you changed the setting, I can view AND post a comment without becoming a member - great job!

Hey there! This works for me as well. Great suggestions! I will be trying a couple of these out as I am now starting to notice puffiness and dark circles around my eyes these days... :( Thanks again!

Penny,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see you're on the hunt for the "magic" eye potion...good looking out!

Penny got a tip on an eye cream!
ReplyDeleteMURAD's Lighten and Brighten eye treatment has 1.5% hydroquinone and helps lighten the dark spots. This definitely sounds like something for Penny, since my issue is more with dark circles than puffiness. But it also includes peptides that help to reduce the appearance of under eye bags. The downside? Its price tag...$75. (ouch)
Love, Love, Love it! You are doing a GREAT JOB!
ReplyDeleteJust FYI since you're talking about eye creams! Just recently received a sample pack from my dermatologist for Peptide Plus Treatment Serum (intense age-defying matrix) by DCL-Dermatologic Cosmetic Laboratories and I used it around my eye and nose area and it is GREAT! It did wonders for puffiness, darkness, etc. it also made the skin around my eyes nice, even and tight! I did try the same product but the one specifically for the eyes and it didn't work as well for me, in fact it was irritating.
Thanks Danielle! Don't worry...I'll be coming down the hall with blogging questions soon enough. LOL! And thanks for the eye cream info...is that a prescription only product?
